For those of you who live in the more "geographically challenged" parts of the country, you know how difficult it can be to hike with your dog. Pam Barbe and I along with our dogs, attempted an outing. Lucky for us, the morning was crisp and the dogs were raring to do. We commonly refer to this hike as the "Tick Hike" from you know where. Shortly after this photo was taken, we stopped to rest the dogs. Pam had spotted several little black spots on Casey's back. Looking more closely, we discovered the dogs were covered with TICKS! We grabbed our gear and dogs and ran all the way back to our vans! We were franticly picking and combing ticks off of our dogs. Thank goodness we both had Frontlined our dogs before and had combs with us in the dogs packs. This is one hike we'll never forget.
